Hey everyone! We hope this post meets you well. MedInspirit is excited to introduce this month’s profession: Physician Assistant!

Physician Assistants are medical professionals who develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, serve as the principal healthcare provider for a patient, and diagnose illness. Since they receive an education focusing on patient care, PAs are extremely versatile and collaborative. Their diverse knowledge of the medical field allows them to make it easier for patients to get the right treatment at the right time while also being able to perform a number of tasks such as taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, ordering & interpreting tests, prescribing medication, and assisting in surgery.

During this month, we will be providing blogs and more specific information regarding the health issue in focus: surgical wound infection. The is a cut in the skin that can lead to a wound infection after surgery and usually shows up during the first 30 days after surgery. It is extremely common in the United States and can lead to morbidity or even mortality, so we will be releasing several critical pieces of information about this condition.

Be sure to check our website and Instagram regularly because we have exciting events coming up such as medical news/technology breakthrough articles, an interview with a physician assistant, posts with advice about how to become involved in the field (opportunities, course suggestions, etc.), and more! The month will close off with engaging trivia activities and audience interaction to test yourself on how much knowledge you gained in the past month.

Below are a few links to fascinating videos about the life of a physician assistant and other important information. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions!

Stay safe,
